A few students at the NRI Medical College in Andhra Pradesh have created a video song depicting their travails in gaining admissions based on NEET.
The song is a parody on the travails that farmers face in Telugu superstar Chiranjeevi’s film. Khaidi No. 150. The video was directed by Gade Ravindra, the HoD of the Department of Emergency Medicine.
Suresh Avinash, a third year medicine student, played the lead role in the film. The song was sung by Krishna Chaitanya.
According to Dr Ravindra, the song depicted the frustration that medicos faced as they found it difficult to gain admission to PG courses. For example, he says, the medical students who finished their internship after March 31 was denied admission to PG courses based on NEET scores.
