Doctors defend resident caught sleeping by posting their own pictures after long shifts
A blog post from earlier this month that criticized a medical resident in Mexico for sleeping on the job has led to a social media movement with doctors defending their long hours and need for rest.
Earlier this month, a medical resident in Mexico fell asleep on the job while doing paper work.
A blog post appeared with the pictures criticizing it. The blogger wrote,
“We are aware that this is a tiring job but doctors are obliged to do their work,”
“There are dozens of patients in need of attention.”

Mexican doctor Juan Carlos did the best thing against the criticism and defended the young doctor by using the “hashtag #YoTambienMeDormi (“I’ve also fallen asleep”),
Juan had inadvertently ignited a movement.
He wrote, “I’ve also fallen asleep after operating on one, two, three and even four patients on any regular shift,” along with #YoTambienMeDormi (See below for the tweet)

According to twitter analytics site Topsy, the hashtag #YoTambienMeDormi has been used for more than 19,000 times.
Many doctors from the Latin America started trending #YoTambienMeDormi with the pictures of themselves taking a snap after long working hours
